Act Out
Janye Anderson will be teaching beginner acting classes. Having been a professional actor for almost 20 years, she loves sharing her knowledge with others who want to explore their inner thespian. Class is limited to 10 ladies.
Bingo
Who knew covering numbers on a card in all sorts of patterns could be so much fun! We play several versions of Bingo. Prizes are also awarded.
Book Club
Books selected by the group cover a variety of genres and will always be available in paperback (usually in e-book too!) Group members volunteer to lead the informal and lively discussions, keeping everyone on the same page.
Bunco
Toss three dice and the fun begins! No experience required. Multiple prizes are awarded during refreshments, including “best” and “worst” categories! This groups’ Motto: Roll, Chat, Laugh, Repeat!
Dining Out
Couples/singles savor the flavors and ambiance of a variety of establishments / restaurants serving up some of Houston’s “BEST” on Saturday evenings. Planning arrangements are made for separate checks.
Friends ‘n Gems
From “never-tried-it-before” to advanced. Our experienced designers share their ideas and expertise, while guiding you to completion of a monthly project. Project kits and instructions for the group are provided for most months.
Fun Bridge
This is Contract Bridge format, welcoming both experienced and new players. This is a chance to practice and improve your skills. Players contribute $2 when they arrive for charity.
Happy Hour
Gather with old friends and make some new ones at this late afternoon get-together. RSVP is requested to assist with restaurant accommodations.
Ladies Day Out
A full day of fun and adventure in and around the Houston area. Dates vary depending on the availability of the particular activity. Exciting and informative tours, interesting new places, lunch, shopping and of course lots of fun - all while learning interesting facts and making lasting friendships. Whether by bus, carpool, boat or other - it’s always a great adventure!
Line Dancing
Ladies will meet once a month to learn Country Western Line Dancing and boogie to some of our favorite “boot-scootin” songs.
Mah Jongg - American
Be the first player to complete one of the hands listed on the National Mah Jongg League’s Official Standard Hands and Rules card. this is a challenging game, but like all games, it takes a little strategy and a bit of luck. If you are a seasoned player or a beginner, it’s great fun!
Mexican Train
All aboard! You’ll be on your way with this simple domino game that can be learned in less than 10 minutes. Choo choo on over from some fun!
Out to Lunch Bunch
Join us on the 1st Thursday of the month to try out different Houston restaurants. Typically a smaller group, so it’s easy for new members to meet others. Everyone is welcome!
Fruits & Vegetable Carving
Each month we will meet to learn and practice a new fruit and/or vegetable carving technique.
Gourmet Dining
Ladies and couples will meet to share the labor and cooking of an upscale meal for the group to enjoy while challenging themselves to create the dishes from scratch.
